DAVID (BUBBA) KING ANNOUNCES CAMPAIGN FOR YAMHILL COUNTY COMMISSIONER
Newberg, Ore. (October 18, 2023) – David (Bubba) King, community farmer and small business owner, is running for Yamhill County Commissioner to bring balance back to the Board. Bubba is a nonaffiliated voter who is committed to nonpartisan leadership, building partnerships, and representing the county’s neighborly values. Bubba has lived and worked in Yamhill County for nearly two decades, and is raising fifth-generation Newberg residents on their eleven acre farm with his wife, Sarah.
“I live here, I work here, I’m raising my kids here – and I want my kids to want to live here when they grow up,” says Bubba King. “There’s a lot of change on the horizon, and I’d like to be at the table for that change–representing all residents of Yamhill County.” He continues, “I’m committed to bringing people together, learning about what’s most important to my constituents, and elevating their priorities and concerns.”
As a parent, land owner and neighbor who has family across the political spectrum, Bubba is focused on creating balance on the Board of Commissioners.
As a small business owner, and incoming President of the Chehalem Valley Chamber of Commerce, Bubba deeply understands the importance of supporting small businesses and promoting economic development in the community on both a micro and macro level.
As an involved community member, Rotarian, volunteer, and someone who has worked in many of the valley’s industries, Bubba has seen what can be achieved through relationships and cooperation, and is determined to build back partnerships while serving on the Board of Commissioners.
